Where to Catch the Bus in Bishkek
Most marshrutkas and shared transport services to Karakol depart from Bishkek Bus Station, located at 1/1 Alma-Atinskaya Street.
The former Western Bus Station closed in October 2024. Do not use outdated directions pointing to that terminal.
At the station, look for the ticket counter marked Касса (Kassa) and ask for Каракол (Karakol). The ticket counter can help identify the correct vehicle.
Morning departures are generally the safest choice if you want more flexibility.
